DAY 1: Monday, October 13, 2025
⚫️ Fly into Reagan International Airport & transfer to the National Mall/Smithsonian Museums * Early arrivals may transfer on their own to the National Mall ⚫️ Transfer from Reagan Airport to the National Mall * Chartered motorcoach transportation for your time in DC ⚫️ Transfer from the Mall to hotel or dinner (included, TBA), depending on hotel location ⚫️ Possible Service Opportunity or visit to some of the DC memorials (see list below)
DAY 2: Tuesday, October 14, 2025
⚫️ Breakfast & devotional at the hotel ⚫️ Today, we officially begin our look at the Christian perspectives evident in our nation’s capitol. Visiting Arlington National Cemetery, the Library of Congress, & the U.S. Capitol offers a profound glimpse into America's history, heritage, & Christian influences. ⚫️ Arlington National Cemetery, a solemn resting place for the nation's heroes, inspires reflection with its iconic Tomb of the Unknown Soldier & the eternal flame at President Kennedy's grave. Changing of the Guard at the Tomb will be included. * Arlington National Cemetery will be a off/on trolley tour to save our walking for the other points of interest! ⚫️ Lunch voucher at the Reagan Building & International Trade Center ⚫️ The Library of Congress, with its architectural grandeur & unparalleled collection of knowledge, includes rare biblical texts & exhibits that highlight the nation's intellectual legacy & Christian influence on law, literature, & culture. ⚫️ Dinner (included, TBA) ⚫️ The U.S. Capitol, a symbol of democracy, invites awe as the seat of Congress & showcases remarkable art, religious history, & governance. Together, these landmarks provide a rich & meaningful journey through American culture & Christian ideals. * All government building tours are dependent on limited availability & will hopefully be secured through Congresswoman Laurel Lee's office.
DAY 3: Wednesday, October 15, 2025
⚫️ Breakfast & devotional at the hotel ⚫️ Our visits to the Museum of the Bible & the National Cathedral today will offer a unique exploration of faith, history, & artistry. ⚫️ The Museum of the Bible presents an immersive experience, showcasing the historical, cultural, & spiritual significance of the Bible through innovative exhibits & rare artifacts. ⚫️ Lunch is on your own at the Museum of the Bible ⚫️ The National Cathedral, with its breathtaking Gothic architecture, stunning stained glass, & serene gardens, serves as both a place of worship & a testament to human craftsmanship. Together, these landmarks provide a profound encounter with the intersection of spirituality & our cultural heritage. * National Cathedral visit will include a tour &/or attendance at Evensong ⚫️ Dinner (included, TBA) ⚫️ Other possibilities today include Embassy Row & an illuminated monument tour in the evening!
DAY 4: Thursday, October 16, 2025
⚫️ Breakfast & devotional at the hotel ⚫️ Our destinations today offer a rich journey through American history & culture, with reflections on Christian influences. ⚫️ We will first journey to Mount Vernon, the beloved home of President George Washington. View his home, his personal chapel, & his writings that reference divine providence. ⚫️ Lunch voucher included at Mt. Vernon ⚫️ Next, we will travel back to the National Mall & the National Archives, the location of foundational documents like the Declaration of Independence, which acknowledges reliance on a Creator. Depending on scheduling, there might be time for a quick visit to the Smithsonian museums! ⚫️ Service Opportunity could go here also! ⚫️ Our final evening will include a special dinner & a performance at either Ford’s Theatre or the Kennedy Center. * (Dependent on programming schedules which do not open until early spring for your travel dates) Ford's Theatre provides a poignant look at President Lincoln's life, shaped by his deep moral convictions rooted in Scripture. The Kennedy Center celebrates the arts & provides a spectacular view of the DC skyline in the evening! This day offers a rich blend of history, faith, & culture in Washington, D.C.
DAY 5: Friday, October 17, 2025
⚫️ Breakfast & devotional at the hotel ⚫️ Check out of hotel and load the coach ⚫️ Our final stop in Washington, DC, will be a visit to the Holocaust Museum, a deeply moving experience that reflects on the horrors of genocide & the resilience of the human spirit. Through its exhibits, the museum honors the memory of millions who suffered while also highlighting stories of hope, courage, & faith. Christian aspects are evident in the narratives of individuals & communities who risked their lives to protect Jewish neighbors, driven by their moral & religious convictions. The museum serves as a solemn reminder of the importance of standing against hatred & living out values of compassion & justice, often rooted in faith traditions. ⚫️ Lunch will likely be a box meal while traveling back to Reagan Airport for your flight home. ⚫️ Safe travels back to Florida!
