Our homeschool day trips combine volunteering and vacation into one, and are a unique and engaging way to supplement their classroom learning. On this tour students will learn about the Greek history of Tarpon Springs, Florida including an ecology lesson about the sponge trade. They’ll take a boat ride aboard a real sponge boat and get to see a real diver put on the traditional 172 lb dive suit! The tour includes a volunteer opportunity, a guided sightseeing tour of the sponge docks, a gourmet lunch at a Greek family restaurant, a coffee and pastry tasting, and a shopping orientation!

You and your group will experience the wonder of Florida's very first tourist attraction and a National Landmark! Students can uncover the history of eco-tourism in Florida as they discover the biology of the world's largest artesian spring as well as the Natural, Native American, and Pioneer histories of central Florida. Enjoy the famous narrated glass bottom boat ride, gardens, lunch, and special private tours of the Silver River Natural History Museum and Florida Cracker Pioneer Village. Our adventure also includes the opportunity to be good stewards and serve the park and its rangers with a special kid-friendly park cleanup/beautification volunteer activity!

Get ready to take-off on a high-flying adventure to the Florida Air Museum in Lakeland, Florida and serve the local community! Here, you and your family can explore the fascinating world of aviation, propulsion, space exploration, and military aircraft and have the opportunity to give back to seniors or orphans in need!

As you enter the museum, led by an expert guide, you'll immediately see impressive displays of vintage aircraft from different eras, such as a World War II-era B-17 bomber, a P-51 Mustang, and a Bell helipad. Your kids will be in awe as they get up close to these aircraft, touching them and admiring their intricate designs. You'll also get to learn about how aviation has evolved over time, thanks to the museum's interactive exhibits. The Space Exploration exhibit is filled with impressive displays, such as the history of the Mercury and Apollo missions, Space Shuttle artifacts, and interactive displays that allow you to simulate space travel. Next, the kids will explore the STEM Discovery Center and your group can take part in special hands-on activities like building paper air planes or building & launching their own stomp rockets!

During baseball season, your group can even head across the street following this tour, to Steinbrenner Field to socialize and watch a Tampa Tarpons baseball game!
